At Johnson Elementary, we believe the best storytellers are the students themselves—and sometimes they surprise us in the most delightful ways. Recently, a second grader named Coco wrote a heartfelt reflection about our school.

Her words, full of pride and joy, remind us why Johnson is such a special place:
“I dedicate this book to the very first school I went to: Johnson Elementary

Hi, my name is Coco, and I am eight years old. Yes, eight years old! You might think I’m too young to make a book, but there’s no age limit—in my opinion. Everybody on Earth has many skills, and making books is one of mine.
Johnson is a great school. You make friends, you learn, and you have teachers. The point is, Johnson’s a great school! We have Pre-K/Preschool, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade.
Teachers work hard to learn and to teach. And yes, they sometimes forget stuff, but we’re not all perfect. It’s a fun place to be. In second grade, on Fridays and on birthdays, you get an extra recess. You can have so much fun at Johnson—so come here and let’s get started!”
And Coco isn’t the only one sharing the love. Her classmates Evan, Elliott, and Emerson created this beautiful poster to show just how much Johnson means to them:

Moments like these aren’t planned—they grow naturally from a school community where students feel safe, connected, and excited to learn.
As we enter School of Choice season, we invite families to come see what makes Johnson Elementary a place kids genuinely love. From caring teachers to joyful classrooms, Johnson is where students feel valued, supported, and proud to be part of something special. Our students say it best: We love Johnson! ❤️
