As the school year begins to wind down, we’re taking time to honor the amazing teachers and staff who make our school such a special place. Teacher Appreciation Week is happening May 4–9, 2025, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate them in “spa-tacular” style!

This year’s theme focuses on self-care, relaxation, and celebrating our teachers’ individual hobbies—because after all the hard work they do, they deserve a little extra joy!

We have a full week of fun planned, and there are lots of easy ways for families to get involved. Whether you choose to participate in one, a few, or all of the activities, every gesture helps make our teachers feel appreciated and loved.

1. PRIDE Award Nominations

THIS WEEK, students have the opportunity to nominate a teacher or staff member for a special PRIDE Award. This is a wonderful way for students to reflect on the positive impact their teachers have had on their school year.
(Parents, check the email from your room rep to find the nomination forms.)

2. Daily Classroom Celebrations

Each day during Teacher Appreciation Week, students can participate in a simple and thoughtful activity to celebrate their teachers:

• Monday, May 5 – Something That Blooms
  Students can bring a flower (picked or purchased) to create a beautiful classroom bouquet. A vase will be provided!
• Tuesday, May 6 – Words from the Heart
  Handmade cards, drawings, or short notes sharing a memory or kind words will brighten any teacher’s day.
• Wednesday, May 7 – Silly & Sweet
  Students can bring in a sweet treat, a gift card for a treat, or even a funny joke!

• Thursday, May 8 – Celebrate Their Hobbies
  Students are encouraged to bring a small gift that supports their teacher’s hobbies.

• Friday, May 9 – Class Gift Card
  We’re pooling contributions for a collaborative gift card. Any amount—big or small—makes a difference!
  Contributions can be sent via Venmo to your room rep or cash can be sent in an envelope to school.

3. School-Wide Staff Celebration

In addition to celebrating in the classroom, we’re also organizing a school-wide staff celebration!
Families can sign up to help provide treats, supplies, or small surprises for the entire staff.
