Wow! What a day at Johnson Elementary, one of Fort Collins premier elementary schools supported by Rocky Mountain High School!

Rocky Cheer Visits our PRIDE Assembly:

On Friday, December 6, we started our day with our December PRIDE assembly. Our students were so excited when Rocky Mountain’s Cheer Squad, led by Coach Lauren Roth, appeared. Our students are always excited when Rocky’s Cheer teams make time to support our PRIDE assemblies. One student said, “I love when they come!” The cheer team raised the roof, and made the PRIDE assembly so fun! What a way to honor our Johnson Huskies with your time Rocky students. We appreciate your support.

Rocky’s Entrepreneur Club: On December 6, we also received communication from former Johnson students about Rocky’s Entrepreneur Class. This class is raising money for Rocky’s Adopt-a-Family program. The Adopt-a-Family program has supported Johnson families during the holidays for many years. I have seen first hand the positive impact this special program has had on many of our families. Please visit the Entrepreneur’s site here: Rocky’s Entrepreneurs and support their efforts in making a difference for our community. All money raised goes to Rocky’s Adopt-a-Family. Way to go Rocky!

Rocky’s Anatomy Class Visits Johnson’s 5th Grade:

We had 31 Rocky students come to dissect 18 sheep hearts with our 5th graders. While I do not have the stomach for dissection, our students sure did enjoy working with Rocky students. They learned about the anatomy of a heart, and the excitement about science was amazing! One student said, “This was the best day ever!”

Johnson Huskies take pride in being part of the Rocky Mountain Lobo Way. We take every opportunity we can to partner with Rocky and support students connecting to their future options.
