Johnson Elementary’s community showed that “Kindness is our Super Power” in a big way! The Johnson Elementary Raise Craze Fundraiser just wrapped up, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the incredible results. Our goal was ambitious: to raise $15,000 and complete 1,500 acts of kindness. Johnson students took this challenge to heart, and together, they raised an astounding $22,695 and completed 1,886 acts of kindness!
164 Johnson students joined forces in the fundraiser, showing that even the smallest acts can add up to a huge impact. Special shout-outs go to Luca Jackson and Dannah Mahmoud, who tied for raising the most money, and to Emerson Luttman, who completed the highest number of acts of kindness. To celebrate their hard work, these three will get a special experience: a local Fort Collins superhero – a Fort Collins Police Officer – will take them home from school in a police car! What an amazing memory that will be!
Students who raised the most or completed the most acts of kindness in each class were also recognized with trophies during our recent PRIDE Assembly, honoring their extraordinary dedication. As an added bonus, every class that completed 50+ acts of kindness earned an extra recess, and thanks to the funds raised, we’ll have an upcoming Super Hero Dress Up Day!
The grand prize for the classroom that raised the most went to Mrs. Holder’s 2nd-grade class. They won Thunder’s Golden Cape and an exciting game party! Congratulations to Mrs. Holder’s class for leading the way!
All funds raised will go toward projects and improvements around the school, thanks to the fantastic work of the Johnson Parent Teacher Organization (JPTO). This year, JPTO already provided new bike racks and installed window-unit air conditioners to keep us comfortable in the warmer months.
Thank you, Johnson families, students, and JPTO, for making this fundraiser such a success. Your kindness and generosity have once again shown that at Johnson Elementary, Kindness really is our Super Power!
